The Philmont Staff Association condemns racism in any form. At this time in history when intolerable actions have again brought our collective national attention to tragedies faced by those in the Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities, we affirm our stand for equality and justice for these groups, and the individuals within them who are valued members of our association and who serve on the Philmont seasonal and permanent staff. Inclusion and acceptance are at the heart of what we do as Scouts and Scouters. We must always reflect on the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law and the leadership skills we learned as members of the Philmont staff, and have those inform both our individual and collective words and actions. The PSA will encourage conversations with our members on how we can continue to promote equality in our organization at all levels and better serve Philmont Scout Ranch, its staff and its participants.
